AV at Cree Meets Every Thursday From 2:30-4:00
AV at Cree is club that meets weekly after school to create short films, public service announcements, and experiment with different filming styles. During our club time students work collaboratively in groups to brainstorm, storyboard, film and edit digital stories. Students learn and practice a variety of skills including collaboration, communication, filming with camera angles, editing using iMovie, and giving critical feedback for an improved product.
Our club is supported by Digicom, a non-profit organization that promotes digital storytelling in PSUSD. All students who attend AV at Cree have to be involved in creating a final product that is submitted to the annual Digicom Film Festival in Spring.
All students are welcome to join, but only during our open enrollment periods that are announced throughout the year.
Students who are involved in AV at Cree have to be committed to the club and attend weekly in order to maintain their membership.
AV at Cree's staff advisors are Julie Barda and Steve Reid.
