The After School Education and Safety (A.S.E.S.) program @Cree is an extension of the school day. A safe, physical, and emotional environment and opportunities for positive relationship-building are provided through a balanced program with Academic Support, Youth Development and Enrichment Components. The A.S.E.S. program operates on campus on regular and minimum school days until 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. We are a state-funded program so daily attendance is very important. Students involved in the A.S.E.S. program participate for a donation of $25 a month per child.
Academic Support consists of homework assistance, tutoring and academic intervention to help students meet state standards in Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies and Science. A broad range of activities are based on student's needs and interests.
Youth Development consists of promoting leadership, positive decision-making and a sense of belonging. It provides opportunities for youth to expand their interpersonal skills and knowledge in a safe, physical and emotional environment to support positive relationship-building through peer-group and community involvement.
Education enrichment element offers a variety of additional programs and activities that reinforce and compliment the school's academic program. This includes positive youth development strategies and prevention activities that may utilize visual and performing arts, community service-learning, recreation and physical activity, health/nutritional promotion, career awareness and work preparation activities based on student needs and interests.

Lights on After-School is an annual open-house that promotes and celebrates after-school programs and its importance to families, students, and communities.
